DIY Paisley Baseball Skirt

DIY Paisley Baseball Skirt

I’m very excited to share this version of the Baseball Skirt with you because it might just be my FAVORITE of all the ones I’ve made. First off, I’m a sucker for color and for paisley. So I’m just dying over the fabric. Second, it’s crazy comfortable but looks totally dressy. You can take this out for a night on the town, look chic and feel comfortable too. Yay!

Pattern Launch! The Baseball Skirt

I'm very excited to announce that I have a new sewing pattern available for sale – the Baseball Skirt. This casual elastic waist skirt features in-seam pockets and a curved high-low hem reminiscent of a baseball tee. This pattern is designed for beginners, using the most basic sewing techniques. It's quick to make, taking only an afternoon to complete.

Super comfortable to wear, the skirt sits at the natural waist and with your top tucked in, it creates a trim silhouette. The pattern works well with lightweight cottons (I love it in chambray!) for a casual look. Or, try silk or crepe fabric for a dressier look.

Designed with beginners in mind, the intention is that this pattern will be relatively frustration free and allow beginners to create clothes they love while also building sewing skills. The pattern is available as a pdf download including, a print-at-home pattern, copy shop pattern and illustrated instructions.

For one week, I’m offering a discount of 25% off the Baseball Skirt PDF pattern. Use the code LAUNCH25OFF at checkout (code expires at 11:59pm PDT Aug 27, 2015). Sound cool? Head on over to the shop and check it out!

Happy Sewing!

P.S. I want to give a big thank you to everyone that tested the pattern for me. I truly appreciate it. If you make one yourself and share on social media, make sure to use the hashtag #baseballskirt and tag me. I'd love to see what you make!

New Pattern Sneak Peek

I'm really excited to show you this sneak peek today of my latest sewing pattern. I'll be releasing it very soon and I hope that you will love it as much as I do. I released my first pattern, the Lou Box Top, back in January and have been thrilled to see how people have embraced it. This pattern is a basic elastic waist skirt with side seam pockets and a curved hem. It's a relaxed, comfortable style and very easy to make. Like the Lou Box Top, this is a great pattern for beginners. I'm busy making final edits and getting everything ready to share with you. Stay tuned for more!
