Today we are announcing the relaunch of two patterns, the Lou Box Dress 1 and the Lou Box Dress 2. These patterns have been updated to match the sizing of the Lou Box Top, for bust/hip measurements 32-58 inches (81-147cm) and a height of 5’10”. The pattern pieces of the LBT and LBD patterns can be mixed and matched for lots and lots of variations. As soon as I returned from my trip to Denmark last month, I’d focused my sewing queue on my next trip to Hawaii next month. Going on trips and sewing for them is kind of the best cycle of activity, right? When I’m in Hawaii I like to dress in light loose layers with lots of coverage to protect from the sun. A caftan fulfills all of those requirements. For this caftan I modified my Lou Box Dress 1 pattern. This is actually a variation of the design that I initially considered including in the pattern but thought it would be a little challenging to sew in knit fabric.
The sweatshirt is one of those pieces that you never you knew you always needed. Warm and roomy, it’s the height of comfort. I love to wear a sweatshirt dress over leggings. It’s the perfect weekend outfit. For this one, I used one of my own patterns, the Lou Box Dress 1. This dress is a cocoon-style oversized dress. I did a little mish-mash of the views and used the sleeves from View A and the patch pockets from View B.
