DIY Dusty Purple Linden Sweatshirt

Hi sewing friends! I'm just popping in with a quick little post on this fab sweatshirt I made a couple of weeks ago. I had finished up my jumpsuit and was trying to think of something else I could sew on my serger using black thread. Then I remembered I had some of this dusty purple, almost animal print fabric leftover from a pair of leggings I made a few years ago. I had just the right amount of fabric to make a Linden Sweatshirt. And about 90 minutes later, I had a brand new sweatshirt!

The Linden Sweatshirt has quickly become one of my most made patterns. I think I've made five now, including this one. They are easy to make and just as easy to wear. It's a great basic pattern to add to your collection. I'm looking forward to trying out the new Morris Blazer pattern. I suspect I'll end up making it over and over as well.

If you want to read more about my experience sewing this pattern check out this post on View A and this post on View B. I find myself going to these sweatshirts over and over when i need something casual to keep me warm. So far, the summer in LA has been unusually cool so I've been getting a lot of wear out of these. Have you tried making this pattern yet?
