Today, I have some exciting news to share with you. I'm teaching an online sewing class for kids as part of the Get Crafty Summer Camp hosted by Rebecca Page. It's a five day online craft camp for kids ages 8-12. You can join from anywhere in the world, and attend live for FREE.
When I was in high school and college, I spent a lot of time working at kids' summer camps. These days I spend most of my time with adults and working on adult garments, so it was really fun to work on this project and gear it towards younger learners.
In my class, I will teach your little ones (and you!) how to sew a drawstring backpack. It's a simple and useful project that will help them learn and practice sewing basics like sewing a straight line, finishing seams, pivoting around a corner and sewing a casing. I hope you can join!
The virtual event is online from July 12th to 16th and there will be over 40 different craft classes to choose from! It's completely free to sign up and watch the classes during that week. But, if you want more time to watch or rewatch the classes, there will also be an option to purchase an all-access pass that will allow you to watch the classes after the week of camp. Full disclosure, if you later decide to sign up for the all access pass, I will receive a commission. Thank you so much for your support!
